Customer: Any individual or entity hiring a skip from Soho Skip Hire.
Skip: The container provided by Soho Skip Hire for waste disposal.
Site: The location where the skip is placed.

3. Booking and Reservation

All skip bookings must be made in advance through our official channels. Availability is subject to stock and location. The customer must provide accurate information regarding the desired skip size and hire duration.

3.1 Payment Terms

Full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept various payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, and online payment systems. A deposit may be required for certain bookings.

3.2 Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery to avoid cancellation fees. Refunds will be processed based on the timing of the cancellation.

4. Delivery and Placement

Our team will deliver the skip to the designated site on the agreed-upon date. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that the placement area is suitable and accessible for skip delivery.

4.1 Site Access

The customer must provide clear and unobstructed access to the site. Any additional costs arising from difficult access or the need for special equipment will be the customer’s responsibility.

5. Use of Skip

The skip should be used solely for the disposal of waste materials. The following items are strictly prohibited:

Asbestos
Explosives
Flammable liquids
Chemical waste

Unauthorized disposal of prohibited items may result in penalties and immediate termination of the hire agreement.

5.1 Load Restrictions

Customers must not overload the skip beyond its capacity. Overloading can cause damage to the skip and surrounding property, and may incur additional fees.

5.2 Weight Limits

Each skip has a maximum weight limit, which will be communicated at the time of booking. Exceeding this limit can result in extra charges and potential refusal of excess waste.

6. Liability

Soho Skip Hire is not liable for any damage to property or injury resulting from the placement and use of the skip. Customers are responsible for ensuring that the site is safe and suitable for skip placement.

6.1 Insurance

Customers are encouraged to have appropriate insurance coverage for the duration of the skip hire. Soho Skip Hire carries its own liability insurance, but it does not cover customer property or accidents.

7. Hire Duration

The standard hire period is 7 days. Extensions may be available upon request and are subject to availability and additional charges.

7.1 Overdue Returns

If the skip is not returned by the agreed-upon date, additional fees will apply. Persistent overdue returns may affect future services and booking privileges.

8. Access and Elevators

For skips placed in shared buildings, customers must ensure that the skip does not obstruct access or damage elevators and staircases. Any damage caused by incorrect placement may result in liability for repair costs.

8.1 Building Compliance

Customers must comply with all building regulations and obtain necessary permissions for skip placement within multi-unit residences or commercial buildings.

9. Waste Disposal

We ensure that all waste collected is disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations. Customers can request information about how their waste will be handled and recycled.

9.1 Recycling and Waste Separation

Customers are encouraged to separate recyclable materials to facilitate proper recycling processes. This practice supports environmental sustainability.

10. Termination of Agreement

Soho Skip Hire reserves the right to terminate the hire agreement if the terms and conditions are breached. This includes improper use of the skip, non-payment, or violation of safety regulations.

Examples include unauthorized disposal of prohibited items, damage to property, and failure to adhere to placement guidelines.

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Soho Skip Hire operates. Any disputes arising will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the local courts.
